With this 6 week onlinev course you’ll be learning all about the baking and caking world, the best ingredients, what works and what doesn’t. You’ll be learning tricks of the trade for light sponge cakes, perfect cupcakes and moist chocolate cakes.
Throughout the course, you’ll be finding out how to fix problems, what to do when things go wrong as well as the most delicious recipes and best decorating methods.
Week 1 – Back to basics learning the lightest vanilla sponge cake and vanilla buttercream. We’ll be layering with vanilla buttercream and jam and decorating this in a semi naked cake style with fresh strawberries and berries.
Week 2 – Making 12 delicious vanilla and chocolate cupcakes finishing them with perfect piping techniques in pretty pastels and chocolate.
Week 3 – This week we’ll be baking a rich chocolate cake and layering this with chocolate ganache and buttercream. This will be finished in a semi naked design with easy ganache drips and piped toppings.
Week 4 – My ultimate favourite bake, Sticky Toffee. We’ll be baking cupcakes and big cakes this week layering with buttercream and caramel sauce. finishing off with 2 tone buttercream piping work.
Week 5 – Fresh lemon and poppy seed loaf is what we’ll be baking this week. Plus zesty lemon cupcakes. The loaf will be decorated with crunchy lemon glaze, lemon buttercream and fresh lemon slices. The cupcakes will be finished off with pastel yellow swirls and lemon detail.
Week 6 – Finishing off the course with a funfetti pinata cake. Great for birthdays and celebrations. Lets have fun decorating this one with bright coloured buttercream, swirls and sprinkle details.
This class will begin online on Monday 17th January 2022 at 9:30 am for 6 consecutive weeks. So you can sign up and catch up anytime to suit you. This baking class will be run in a private facebook group. The weekly recipes will be broadcast live from the group. You can watch live or after recording any time to suit you, over and over again. The videos will be saved in the group so you can watch as many times as needed. Plus written recipe and step by step instructions for you to print off. Plus the added bonus of an awesome facebook baking community.
