For the purposes of this article, the term 'cupcakes' is interchangable with 'cakes' or any other baked goods.
Classes, Workshops and Guides
Please choose the date you book a class carefully as we aren’t able to offer refunds if you cancel. If you wish to change the date of your class, we can try and resell your class place for you. Only if we can re-sell the class place, you can change your booking to a gift voucher or another class date. Unfortunatey if it doesnt resell, your boking and payment for the class will be lost. Think of your class booking as a concert or airline ticket.
Please park responsibly. We will not be liable for any parking fine occured while in one of our classes or visiting us.
We strongly suggest you consider taking a policy to cover emergency cancellations, you can buy these from http://www.cancelsure-insurance.co.uk/.
In the very unlikely event that we have to cancel a class, workshop or party due to illness we will refund you in full. We we not be liable for reimbursing any expenses or costs resulting from us cancelling a workshop or class, for example (but not limited to)travel arrangements. By booking your class or workshop with us you accept that our liability is fully limited to the cost of the class.
Weather conditions - If a class is cancelled due to adverse weather conditions, we will reschedule the class. If you can not attend the rescheduled date, you will be issued with a gift voucher to use at your convience.
You attend our workshops completely at your own risk, we will not be liable for any injuries, illness or accidents that occur during your workshop.
We will not tolerate any verbal or physical absuse, either in person, on phone or by email. We reserve the right to refuse your booking and cancel your booking at any time if this happens.
If you give us notice of an allergy, we will do our best to work with this. We do not provide any allergen free cakes. The purpose of asking for any allergies is for lunch. We can only provide a gluten free lunch alternative. If your allergy is severe, please consider whether this is the right environment for you to be in as it is a working kitchen.
During our workshops, we do take photographs, if you’d prefer not to have your photo taken or used in any material, please let us know.
If you would like to use photographs of the cakes you have made in the workshop on Facebook, Flickr, Twitter etc. you are welcome to do so, but please ALWAYS credit them with a note saying that they were made with at a Blue Door Bakery class with a link to our webpage.
We reserve the right to alter course and workshop content at any time.
We will not be held responsible on incur any costs for any parking tickets while participating in any of our classes. Please park responsibly.
All online guides are non refundable. They are our own techniques and are not to be replicated for your own guides or classes.
We do not allow under 16 years old in our classes. The class will be expected to run at a pace to enable us to fit in all the skills other students are paying for. With this in mind, the class needs students who can work at the pace required and not be distracted.
Paying with a deposit
If paying with a deposit, £50 is required on booking although this is class dependant. The remaining balance is due 4-6 weeks before your class date. If booking with less than 4-6 weeks before a class, a deposit can not be used and the class must be paid in full on booking. If after paying the deposit, you can not for any reason attend the class, your deposit will be lost or in certain circumstances, exchanged for a voucher. This is Blue Door Bakerys decision as to whether a voucher will be issued. We strongly suggest you consider taking a policy to cover emergency cancellations, you can buy these from http://www.cancelsure-insurance.co.uk/.
If booking a class using a deposit and if after your booking is confirmed the class is then in a sale, you are required to pay the price of the class as it was when you booked the class. You are not entitled to a sale price once your class is confirmed as booked.
We do not offer refunds on any gift vouchers purchased.
All content on Blue Door Bakery’s website, Facebook page, Twitter, Instagram, Flickr account and all other social media is the intellectual property of Blue Door Bakery. By attending a course with Blue Door Bakery you agree not to copy or imitate this content for your own commercial purposes following the course. This includes Blue Door Bakery cake designs and course content.
If you run cake classes yourself or plan on starting to host cake classes or workshops, you MAY NOT use the cakes you have made during your class to promote your own classes or your business.
You may not use designs, lesson plans, class format, photographs, teaching techniques, pre class information, notes, wording or any other elements of the Blue Door Bakery class/workshop you attend for your own classes or the promotion of your own classes.
When booking a class, workshop or party please tell us if you have any allergies or dietary requirements.The workshops are held in a domestic kitchen, if you have a severe allergy, before booking please consider whether this is an appropriate environment for you to enjoy the class in.
We have done our best to ensure our descriptions and content on the website is accurate but we cannot be held responsible for any slight errors.
We reserve the right to alter our pricing at any time.
Our prices are current at the time of bookings. We are under no obligation to issue a refund or gift voucher for any class booked outside an offer we are holding.
